TANGERANG – Entering the age of 15, Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) has made another achievement. On December 21, 2021, UMN won an A from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT).

This decision is written based on the decision number 1068/SK/BAN-PT/Ak-PPJ/PT/XII/2021. Accreditation at universities is very important because it is to assess the feasibility level of a university.

Ninok Leksono as the Chancellor of Multimedia University expressed his gratitude for the success of regaining A accreditation, and thanked the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) for trusting UMN to maintain this highest level of accreditation. On the other hand, accreditation A is also a mandate to continue to perform and excel.

Not only satisfied with the current achievements, Ninok also explained that the following challenges, excellence is no longer at the national level, but also internationally, “The World Class University target is one of the hopes for the future. This of course needs to be accompanied by various improvements and improvements in various aspects, especially those related to the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely in terms of education and teaching, research, and community service. Human resource capabilities are certainly the main focus besides physical infrastructure. UMN’s presence must also be felt by the community and the nation,” said Ninok.

“A accreditation is the capital for achieving international accreditation, which also means bringing UMN as an international-class university. The challenges are not light, especially in the midst of ongoing disruption in various fields. But UMN is determined to respond to these challenges in order to reach a higher level,” closed Ninok.

Friska Natalia as Vice Chancellor II explained that there are several strategies used to maintain Accreditation at UMN. This strategy was implemented because we believe that by continuously evaluating and checking the entire work process, UMN can identify existing problems and immediately fix them. That way, the quality of work at UMN can always be maintained every year. But the input taken by UMN is not only from the routine internal audit process, but also from AUN-QA (Asean University Network-Quality Assurance) and IABEE (Indonesian Accreditation Board for Engineering Education) when the accreditation process for several study programs at UMN is running, “said Frisca.

Friska also said that the focus of achievement for UMN in the future will focus on World Class University, “In accordance with the roadmap we already have, we are preparing UMN to become a World Class University that can create graduates who are able to compete globally with other international universities. . In 2022 and in the future, we will focus more on international accreditation for all study programs at UMN and also on institutional recognition at the international level,” concluded Friska.
